Garrity Tools is a worker-owned cooperative that designs and manufactures pottery tools in St. Louis, MO. Their small but mighty team handcrafts wood pottery tools that are used worldwide by potters to shape clay. Founded in 2018, their company transitioned to a worker-owned model in 2022 and continues to grow rapidly.
Compas Tool: The smart design of the Garrity Tools Compass Tool allows you to cut 14 different sizes of circles. With this compact multi-functional pottery tool, you can cut or scribe circles ranging from 1 inch to 7 inches in diameter. You just need two needle tools (or any equivalent) to use the Compass Tool on a slab of clay. When you’re not hand-building on your bench, the pointed tip, flat sides, and rounded end come in handy while throwing on the wheel. size: 4.75” x 1.125” material: maple wood
Fish Fillet: A bigger version of the Garrity Tools Fishstick pottery tool, the Fish Fillet provides four different corner profiles and flat sides to help you compress and pull your clay at a larger scale. Foot 2: The curve on Foot 2 makes it easy to support or avoid the walls of your clay vessel while creating a foot on your piece. The flat bottom of this pottery tool allows you to steady it against your bat while the small cutouts at the ends create a rounded foot at the base of your clay piece while it's still spinning the wheel.
