Wheel Throwing - 4 Week Class

Join us for an exciting introduction to wheel throwing with our experienced instructors! Over the course of four weeks, you will learn the fundamentals of clay work and techniques to enhance your wheel-throwing skills. Classes are held once a week at a time that suits you.

This course is specifically designed for beginners who want to explore clay and develop their wheel-throwing abilities. Each week's lesson builds upon the previous one, ensuring that by the end of the course, you will have a solid understanding of the stages of clay, how to throw on a wheel, as well as trimming and glazing techniques. 

Your class package includes instructor demonstrations, tools, glazing, and firings. Please note that clay is sold separately and can be used at your own pace. By the end of the course, you will have completed pieces to take home and improved your wheel-throwing skills significantly.

Home Town Kaua'i is responsible for all kiln firings. Our electric kiln is fired to cone 6 (2232°F or 1220°C) in an oxidation atmosphere. We conduct bisque and glaze firings every week to ensure a timely turnover for your work.

The class runs for 4 weeks and is priced per participant. When booking, you must reserve all 4 sessions and choose your preferred times.

No refunds are provided. To cancel or change a reservation time, a 48-hour notice is required to reschedule or receive store credit. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the event will not qualify for credit.
