Keiki Pottery Workshop - Slab Construction

SLAB CONSTRUCTION (Ages 8+)

In this class, participants will receive 5 lbs of wedged, wet clay to roll out into slabs and create shapes of their choosing. This technique can be used to make various objects such as cups, lidded jars, flower pots, and more. Students will have the opportunity to imprint and decorate their creations as they like. Once the pieces are fired and glazed, they will be safe for use as functional kitchenware. The cost is $145 per student, and the class lasts for two hours.

Please note that this session is a 1.5 hour workshop demonstration only. The ceramic process involves several steps and takes time to complete. Therefore, the Home Town Studio staff will trim, glaze, and fire your creations using the glaze color of your choice.
